Professional Career after MCH:

Three months after Claudio finished his studies at MCH he won the Mobilidade Award 2007 with the design of a collective housing building for the elderly. In the competitions for the Scholar Centre in Fonte de Angeão and in Gafanha da Boa-Hora, both in Vagos, he was awarded with 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively and finally in 2009, he got the first prize in the Uniscala ’09 competition.

In 2008, in Tomiño (Galicia, Spain), Cláudio was invited as visiting teacher in one of the six workshops “pH04-Paisajes Habitados”.

His office has recently won the first prize in the Museu da Electricidade Exhibition, for the Triennale Lisbon 2010 competition.

In 2010 the British magazine Wallpaper, selected 30 architecture offices from all over the world to take part in the 2010 Wallpaper* Architects Directory and one of them was claudiovilarinho.com architects and designers. In 2007, Newitalianblood selected his office for the TOP 10 Young Emergent Architects in Portugal.
